Toronto Noir Limo provides chauffeur and ground transportation services in Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it. It applies to this website and to the services we provide through it. We handle personal information in accordance with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
Information we collect
When you make a reservation we collect what is needed to carry out the trip: your name, email address and phone number; pickup and drop-off addresses, including return trip addresses where applicable; the date and time of travel; the number of passengers and pieces of luggage; the service or vehicle requested; and, for airport transfers, your flight number.
If you contact us by phone, email or through a form on this site, we keep a record of that correspondence.
We do not collect or store payment card details. If you choose to pay in advance we send a secure payment link and the transaction is processed by our payment provider. If you choose to pay the driver, payment is handled in the vehicle and we retain only the amount and method for our records.
We also collect limited technical information automatically, such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed and referring site, through cookies and Google Analytics.
How we use it
We use your information to confirm, schedule and carry out your booking; to contact you about a trip, including when a chauffeur is arriving or a flight has changed; to process payment; to respond to enquiries; to keep records required for tax, insurance and licensing purposes; and to improve this website.
Where you have given consent, or where we have an existing business relationship with you, we may send occasional messages about our service, including a request to review us. Every such message identifies us and includes a way to unsubscribe. You can opt out at any time and we will stop.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only where it is needed to deliver the service you have asked for:
- with the chauffeur assigned to your trip, who receives your name, contact number and pickup and drop-off details;
- with our payment provider, where you have chosen to pay in advance;
- with Google, through Analytics and reCAPTCHA, which protects our forms from automated abuse;
- with Viator and Tripadvisor, where you have booked a tour through their platform, in which case their privacy policies also apply to that booking;
- where we are required to by law, or to establish or defend a legal claim.
We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for advertising purposes.
Where your information is held
Our website and some of the services we rely on are hosted outside Canada, including in the United States. Information held in another country may be accessible to the courts and authorities of that country.
How long we keep it
We keep booking records for as long as needed to provide the service and to meet our tax, insurance and licensing obligations, after which they are deleted. Correspondence is kept only as long as it remains useful.
Keeping it secure
This site runs over HTTPS. Access to booking records is limited to people who need it to do their job. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what we hold.
Your rights
You can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask us to correct anything inaccurate, or ask us to delete information we no longer need. You can withdraw consent to marketing messages at any time. Contact us using the details below and we will respond within 30 days.
Cookies
This site uses cookies for basic functionality and for Google Analytics. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though the booking form may not work properly if you do.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
